Received a rather alarming call from this number, claiming to be HMRC, saying they were blocking my National Insurance number and attempting to seize my bank account due to some fraudulent activity. I can only assume that the next step in their script was to urge me to press a button and make a payment straight away. I hung up promptly, not keen on the idea of risking my phone getting compromised (if it's not already!). This marks the second time in just a few weeks that I've been targeted like this.
