I just received a call from 07530036909 with an automated message saying my internet was having issues and asking for details to sort it out. Totally a scam, I quickly ended the call.

I got a ring from 07530036909, and it definitely seemed like one of those call centres in India. The person on the line knew my full name and address, which freaked me out a bit. They said they were from BT and claimed I'd been charged too much on my bill. I told them flat out that I wasn’t a BT customer, and then they just ended the call. I tried calling the number back, but it went straight to voicemail. When I listened, the message said the guy’s name was Alex Smith and that his phone number had been cloned, so I should email him instead. Strange stuff!

Just had a bloke on the phone saying he was from BT. He told me my internet had issues and said he needed to log onto my computer remotely to sort it out. Felt dodgy, so watch out for this sort of scam.

Just got a call about some dodgy Visa activity, they said two weird charges popped up - one for £300 on Amazon and another for £1100 sent overseas. Same old story, push 1 for help and all that. Honestly, these scammers really need to be stopped!😤

Got a recorded call first from someone saying they were with Amazon, then they asked me for £95.90. Problem is, I’ve never even used Amazon! Definitely a scam.

Got a recorded message saying there was some illegal internet stuff linked to BT on my line. Sounded dodgy to me, so I didn’t engage. Anyone else gotten this? Feels like one of those scam calls to me.

The call wasn’t very clear, but I think the person was telling me I was owed some money. When they mentioned my old address, I told them I’d not lived there in ages. Then they wanted my new postcode, so I just gave them Brixton Prison’s postcode. After that, there was silence.

Got a call from some automated voice saying my internet was involved in some illegal stuff and that British Telecom would disconnect me if I didn’t chat with an advisor by hitting 1 or 2. Totally a scam, the whole message was really dodgy and just didn’t sound right.

Got a call twice today from someone saying they were from BT about my internet. When I asked if it was a scam, she just cut me off! That pretty much told me everything I needed to know.

a bloke rang me claiming to be with Microsoft, so I just ended the call straight away. then he called back from another number, yelling and threatening to shut down my computer if i hung up again. I asked him for a contact number to check his story, but the number he gave actually turned out to be linked to scams when I looked it up. obviously I didnt bother calling it. ive had about 7 calls now, all from different mobiles, which ive blocked and refused to pick up. its proper unsettling, especially for someone like me who's 77.

Some bloke with an accent rang me up, said he was Edward from Virgin Media about my internet. Was just about to tell him I don’t discuss stuff like that on calls when he interrupted me after I barely said a few words. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Total scam. I couldn’t catch everything as the automated voice cut me off when I tried to say something. It was one of those calls about a “strange payment” and they tell you to “press 1 to stop the payment” or something similar.
