Received a msg on WhatsApp from this number saying they urgently needed staff and wanted me to share some info. I tried to find out more but something felt off, so I blocked them. The person didn't seem to actually work for the recruitment agency they mentioned.

Had a strange back and forth over text with this number, so I went ahead and blocked it. Then, out of nowhere, they started sending me messages on WhatsApp moaning about me blocking them! Can't believe it.

It felt a bit dodgy to me, so I decided to look it up first. Turns out, it was pretty suspicious - I’m really glad I didn't just go along with it. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Looks dodgy to me since I never handed over my number to any recruitment firms and haven’t even looked for jobs recently.

Got a WhatsApp ping from +212629177153 earlier, the message said it was Perry Johnston at Cooper Golding Recruitment. Weirdly, the number is listed under Tasha Hartman though. Feels dodgy to me, there’s gotta be some way to flag this so the police or even Interpol get involved and stop them!

Received a call from 07300 316728 the other day, and it was that same Perry Johnston - Cooper Golding voicemail. Such a weird coincidence!

This number is definitely dodgy. When I looked it up, it showed up as belonging to a Marina Sherman, but the text claimed to be from Perry Johnston at Cooper Golding, a recruitment firm in Barnstaple. Out of curiosity, I phoned the agency, and they’re fully aware of this scam running in their name. Neither Perry Johnston nor Marina Sherman have ever worked there, they confirmed. Another red flag was them contacting people on a Sunday, which seemed odd to me. I reckon their goal is twofold: first, to trick folks into sending over their CVs, and then to try and get them to pay up for bogus registration fees. If you fall for it, expect loads of random calls afterward. Paying them is just throwing your money to crooks, despite any promises they make. My advice? Don’t answer, don’t send your CV through your phone, don’t engage at all. Just block and report the number. It’s a nasty phishing attempt.
