The guy had a really thick Asian accent, I couldn’t catch what he was saying properly. Received a call from an Asian call centre purportedly representing Nationwide Building Society. The chap on the line asked me to validate a name and address that certainly wasn’t mine; it sounded suspiciously like a made-up name I may have used for scamming attempts before. He claimed to be ringing in with some absolutely fantastic news from Nationwide. However, his heavy Indian accent made it quite the challenge to grasp what he was saying. I decided to have a bit of fun and toy with him, which prompted an irate response. The only bits I could catch through his tirade were “twat” and a colourful assortment of insults directed at my family. Clearly, just another scammer trying their luck!
