I got a call from this number claiming that my bank account was charged £1000 for an overseas payment along with another £300. I quickly ended the call and rang my bank straight away to check if any dodgy transactions showed up. They told me nothing suspicious had gone through. What really got me worried was I’d just bought a washing machine for £300 not long before. It’s gotta be a scam - legit banks or fraud teams wouldn’t be phoning from a random mobile number like that.
