Got a text claiming to be from Santander, but it was obviously a scam. Definitely trying to trick people into giving their info. Watch out for these!

I got a text saying I’d been near someone isolating because of COVID and to order a test kit from a link they gave: “You’ve come into close contact with someone isolating. Please get a test kit here: https://pcr-home-test-kit(dot)com”. Didn’t bother clicking as I reckon it’s either a scam trying to flog fake test kits or a phishing attempt to steal money or personal info. Would seriously advise not to open any links from these messages - best just ignore them. It’s crazy to me that these scammers can use UK numbers, websites, and even bank stuff but still avoid getting caught. Surely the authorities should be able to shut these down before they cause harm!

Got a text asking me to confirm a payment but they wanted me to ring a different number to verify it. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
