Got a text from 07523 266285 saying Barclays tried to take £299.99 for Smyths Toys Superstores LTD, and it told me to reply "N" if I hadn’t made the payment. I just ignored it. Also, I picked up a call earlier this morning at 9:28 from 07760 275531 but the line cut off as soon as I answered.

I just got a call from this number. A polite woman claimed she was ringing about some energy saving programmes and asked if I owned the house. When I told her I didn’t, she said “right then, we’ll just leave it there” and ended the call.

The call began with someone asserting that they believed I was the homeowner. Apparently, they were from the energy supplier in my locality. Honestly, I couldn’t fathom how she figured out who she was engaging with, especially since I merely greeted her! No matter how many times I attempted to send her packing, she just kept blathering away. Definitely had a British accent, so not one of those call centres from abroad. Best to just block the number!
