Someone pretending to be from AirBnB called me and wanted to chat instantly on WhatsApp about some booking details. I’ve already told AirBnB about it, but I’m surprised they haven’t banned this person yet.

Beware of an Airbnb con artist! Some bloke named Malachi got in touch about a lovely property in Cornwall priced at about £3800. He told me to message him on WhatsApp using his number. Then, he promised a £3000 discount and wanted an additional £1500 for a deposit. He emailed me a link that looked just like Airbnb’s site, but a few things seemed off compared to the real Airbnb page. So I decided to look up his number online and discovered it was a total scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from AirBnB, wanted me to put some properties up for them. They said I'd earn at least £200 for a couple of hours' work. Seemed pretty believable at first, but then they wouldn’t message me through the AirBnB platform, which felt suspicious. To make it worse, they didn’t want to speak on the phone either. Definitely a dodgy scam.

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Natalie Hilton or maybe Isabella Perak, something like that. She was trying to pull a scam about an Airbnb, definitely some kind of con artist.
