Such annoying people! They ring and then cut off before you even pick up. I just can’t understand what’s going through their heads or why they bother. I reckon they earn some sort of bonus for how many calls they make, no matter if anyone answers. I’m seriously thinking about tracking them down and getting some mates to have a word with them face-to-face!

Was in the middle of my tea when the phone buzzed, so I popped it off the table to answer, only for it to hang up straight away. Heard that annoying tune - "your call is very important to us" - loop on repeat for like 5 minutes before finally an automated voice said 'goodbye'. Honestly, feel a bit daft now!

Just like a few others mentioned, this number is probably trying to get you to call them back. By the way, if you're on a BT landline, they say it costs about 12.6p per minute to ring back. Watch out for it!

As soon as I answered, some bloke with a weird American accent says, "Your number is very important to us, please hold for the next available operator." Of course, nothing happened after that.
