SCAM ALERT! Today, I got a call from someone pretending to be Barclaycard’s fraud team. They wanted me to give them a 6 digit code apparently sent for a suspicious purchase on my card, saying it was to confirm who I am. After hanging up, I immediately cancelled my credit card because they clearly had my card info and number. They’d actually attempted a few transactions but thankfully I caught it in time and stopped everything. I’m planning to report it to Action Fraud later this evening.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Capital One's fraud team. They started asking some dodgy questions, so I just told them I'd contact the bank directly and hung up.
