This guy called me asking if I’d made a will and when it was done. He spoke English with no accent and seemed proper. Then he tried getting my address to send info about some service for will updates. I just told him my will was sorted through a solicitor and already up to date, then I hung up.

Sadly, the option to report scams directly through the police’s Action Fraud website has been shut down - probably a cutback on their budget. You might want to raise this with your MP if you disagree. However, you can still send screenshots of scam texts by email to the cyber crime unit at '[email protected]' as well as forwarding the scam texts to 7726.

I've just received a dodgy text message that claimed to be from Hermes, urging me to click a link to verify a delivery by providing my personal details. Given that I wasn't anticipating any deliveries from them, I've gone ahead and blocked the number straight away. What a nuisance!

On Monday 15th May 23, I got a call on my mobile from 07520 669488. The caller, who spoke quite nicely, introduced himself as 'Paul from Advice, London'. I'm not one to take unsolicited calls, so I ended up blocking that number straight away.

On the morning of 15 May, I kept getting calls from the same number while I was at work. It was pretty annoying because my phone kept marking it as spam or some kind of scam. In the end, I decided to block it so it wouldn’t bother me anymore.

I didn’t get a proper name or anything, but the bloke, who spoke with a rather noticeable English accent, asked if me or my partner had been askin’ about a will and if I was still keen. I quickly said no, that wasn’t the case, and then he just hung up on me. Felt pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Caller said they worked for goodwill services, wanted to send info about wills. Asked me to confirm some details but never gave any themselves. When I asked for more info, they just ended the call. Definitely felt dodgy, probably a scam.
