Got a call from this number but no one answered when I picked up. Just another one of those scam calls, this makes 19 now!

this number from liverpool buzzed me claiming to be peter jones, saying i had to answer some stuff so they could send my ppi paperwork. i told the bloke i already got a message saying they knew the amount i was due. he said that wasn’t them and then just ended the call. seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Just like some others have said here, it was a call about PPI. Got a ring out of the blue and they started asking about my bank details, which immediately made me suspicious. Didn’t give them anything, obviously, as I’ve heard so many stories about these calls. It’s annoying how persistent they are with this stuff. Definitely watch out if you get a similar call!

What’s this PPI stuff anyway? Never had anything like that, so why would I even bother making a claim? Makes no sense to me.

ppi scam text: “urgent deadline! we’ve been trying to reach you about your ppi refund. we now know the exact amount you’re owed. reply ‘yes’ for your info pack or ‘stop’ to opt out.” honestly, these lot are so slick, i’ve never spoken to them before, haven’t given my details to anyone, yet they claim to know exactly how much i should get back. bit cheeky if you ask me. wouldn’t mind if they just paid me right away instead, now that would be a treat!

Sounds like another dodgy scam just after your cash. They’ve been texting me about some PPI thing, saying they know how much I might be owed and trying to get me to sign up with them. Definitely wouldn't trust it!

I received a message from someone regarding my Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claim, claiming they are now aware of the amount I should be receiving. However, I've never reached out or discussed any claims whatsoever. Just to clarify...

It's annoying to keep getting calls about PPI when they don't even have any info about my finances. How on earth do they figure out what I might be owed? Getting proper annoying now.
