I'm a bit sceptical about the honesty of the person who rang me. They mentioned something regarding repairs for a rental property, but the thing is, I don’t even rent anywhere! Sounds a bit dodgy, if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman named Ella claiming to be from the housing association repairs team. I told her I’m not connected to any housing and to remove my contact. She kept insisting she was trying to reach someone with my exact name. I explained I have no idea who she’s after but she needs to delete my number from their list since I’m not involved. Without saying more, she just ended the call.

They called and claimed to be from the Council, saying I was on their register. I asked where they’d got my number from. They asked if I was {INSERT NAME}, which felt like a data protection breach to me. I told them they must be wrong, and then they just ended the call.

He never mentioned what company he was calling from. Asked if I had any repairs around the house. I played along and started naming a few things that needed fixing. Then he wanted me to send pictures so he could "reach out" to my landlord. Told him I don’t have a landlord. Next he asked if I owned the place or rented it, and I just said no. Then he just hung up on me.
