I've been inundated with calls claiming to be from consumer or citizens advice. Each time, there’s an unnerving delay at the start, followed by a woman who speaks with a noticeable Indian accent. It was quite off-putting, so I decided enough was enough and cut the line, promptly blocking the number!

Total con job! The caller claimed to represent the "Credit Investigation Service," trying to discuss some sort of unsecured debt and how the government might wipe the slate clean. They wanted me to hand over all my personal information. What a cheek!
