I received a rather unexpected phone call today from a lady who purports to be an employee of Amazon, claiming she wanted to have a chat about my Prime membership. She went on to throw all sorts of bizarre offers my way, which struck me as completely out of character for Amazon-because they truly were! I certainly don't believe this was a legitimate Amazon call!

got a call from a number close to this one about some bitcoin scheme. didnt sign up or pay anything and next thing my pc got hacked. had to call an 020 number they gave me and go through a process to get rid of them. after that, I cleaned my system properly and now they cant get in. make sure your security software is updated and solid.

Looks like these calls are coming from an app named Prank Dial ( [#]prankdial[###] ) which you can find on both iOS and Android. I’m pretty sure this app is operating illegally, so I’ve already made complaints to the app stores and also reported it to Ofcom.

Just got a call from this bloke accusing me of nicking his wifi. Told him to do one and slammed the phone down. What’s the point in bothering people out of the blue with nonsense about wifi or his missus? Funny thing is, maybe he’s one of those who googles his own number, just like I did, and gets his kicks reading what folks say about him. People are weird, I guess.

I received a rather peculiar call a couple of days back. Initially, I was under the impression it was an actual human being-what a laugh! The chap on the line claimed I had been dialing his partner during the wee hours. He inquired about my name and my whereabouts, which honestly threw me for a loop! Just when I was about to respond, the line suddenly switched to a robotic voice announcing, "Congratulations, you've been pranked by prank.com!" To say I was miffed would be putting it lightly, and I wasted no time in blocking that number!

On the 1st of March 2017, I received a phone call from a woman enquiring about my number, claiming it had come up repeatedly on her partner's phone. She wanted to know my name and how long this had supposedly been happening. I couldn't help but chuckle and asked if this was some kind of prank. After that, she promptly disconnected the call.
