I've noticed I've received a slew of missed calls from this particular number. Today, I finally picked up, and lo and behold, a robotic voice greeted me, claiming my National Insurance number was somehow compromised. It's got scam written all over it, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone pretending to be with Amazon, Apple, or Microsoft, telling me to install the ANYDESK APP so they could access my computer remotely. Just a heads up, none of these companies would ever ask for that kinda access. If anyone rings you out of nowhere asking to download Anydesk, be really careful and don't install it on your phone or laptop. It's most likely a scam.

Just received an auto message from DHL claiming it’s the final warning to collect a parcel. They never usually ring without dropping off a card after trying to deliver before, so pretty sure it’s a scam!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying I'd bought an iPhone 13 for £700 and they needed to confirm it was me, from a Reading postcode. I told them I hadn't ordered anything. Then they asked if they should cancel the order. I said yes, but before I could even ask if it would appear on my Amazon account, they just hung up. This feels like a proper scam and could really fool and upset folks.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from a Crime Agency. They switched me over to a chap I didn’t really feel comfortable with, so I asked him to verify his identity. He rang me back from a different number (01216813300 - Birmingham court) and insisted that I needed to cough up £1,900 in taxes. Then he demanded that I transfer £480 directly from my phone, warning me that my account would be frozen otherwise. I informed him that I didn’t have internet access, and he told me to pop down to my bank and send over £1,000, but under no circumstances was I to mention this to anyone else… utter nonsense! Both of them had heavy Indian accents.

Received a rather alarming call claiming my bank account had been frozen because of some alleged criminal activity. The number belongs to a freight company based in Bristol. They hung up rather abruptly, and I’ve gone ahead and reported it to the authorities.
