I've noticed I've received a slew of missed calls from this particular number. Today, I finally picked up, and lo and behold, a robotic voice greeted me, claiming my National Insurance number was somehow compromised. It's got scam written all over it, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone pretending to be with Amazon, Apple, or Microsoft, telling me to install the ANYDESK APP so they could access my computer remotely. Just a heads up, none of these companies would ever ask for that kinda access. If anyone rings you out of nowhere asking to download Anydesk, be really careful and don't install it on your phone or laptop. It's most likely a scam.

Just received an auto message from DHL claiming it’s the final warning to collect a parcel. They never usually ring without dropping off a card after trying to deliver before, so pretty sure it’s a scam!

I keep getting calls from numbers that look suspect, around three times a day. They all ring me, but I just don't pick up. When I spot them, I make sure to report and block each one. One of those calls was from an unknown number that seemed like a scam, so I steered clear and didn’t answer.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying I'd bought an iPhone 13 for £700 and they needed to confirm it was me, from a Reading postcode. I told them I hadn't ordered anything. Then they asked if they should cancel the order. I said yes, but before I could even ask if it would appear on my Amazon account, they just hung up. This feels like a proper scam and could really fool and upset folks.

She claimed to be from the Crime Agency and then passed me onto a bloke. Felt off straight away, so I asked for some kind of proof. Next, he rang me back from another number (01216813300 - Birmingham court), saying I owed £1900 in tax. Then he said I had to pay £480 right away over the phone or else they’d freeze my account. I told him I don't have internet access, so he told me to go to the bank and transfer £1000, but to keep it secret from anyone else. Total load of rubbish. Both sounded Indian.
