Just received a text from someone called CRS saying I owe £36, with a reference number included. My husband almost had his business ruined a while ago because of a similar scam, so it’s really got me on edge. I’m not sure who to get in touch with to find out if it’s legit or just a con. For now, I’ve blocked the number and reported it to my phone company.

Got a call from a number claiming to be MYCRS, some debt collectors, saying my grandson owes nearly £40. Thing is, he only pays with cash and has no debts. Found this site, which helped loads. We’re going to block the number and report it to the proper people to try and get it sorted out.

These guys have been bothering me nonstop for a few weeks now. They claim I owe £179.91 to JC International Acquisition, and apparently CRS is now handling the debt. I tried to block the number, but my phone just won’t let me since the number doesn’t seem to be real. I got in touch with Cyber Security, and their advice was clear: don’t click any links, just ignore and delete the messages.

Keep getting texts from some CRS lot saying I owe Three a balance and there’s a link to pay with a ref number - don’t trust it, never click! They’ve been texting me nonstop every couple of days since April 2023. The guys who call sound really pushy and bossy, even after I’ve blocked their numbers. I rang up Three and they told me I don’t owe them a penny. I’ve also let Three know about this dodgy scam and they’re sorting it at their head office to block the number for good.

I keep getting messages from mycrs saying I have to pay £315.29, which is not true at all. Now JC International is texting me, threatening some kind of action. It's all a scam, I don't owe a penny to anyone. I only get texts and the odd phone call, never any letters through the post. Feels like it might be an American company or someone pretending to be. So, I bought a new phone and left it charging for ages, like a whole month, all on silent. When I finally checked, I found loads of messages from CRS. I told them it’s a recycled number but they just don’t care. From what I can tell, they text for three straight days, stop for a bit, then start up again. Anyone got any tips? Got a message saying I owe £327.38 to ##SUNDRYALPHA10## with a link mycrs.co.uk/s/k5MY1K. They also gave a number 07520633793 to text if I had questions and a reference JEFP00018875. Honestly, I’ve never dealt with this firm or anyone like it and I’m pretty sure I don’t owe a penny. I’m just ignoring it and won’t be replying!

The first message mentioned Sundryalpha10## or something like that, then four days later another from JC international Acquisition. No contact number at all, which was odd. I replied once, saying they must have the wrong person, but the messages just didn’t stop. Ended up blocking the number now. Feels risky though, like they’re trying to fish for personal info or something. Wouldn’t trust it at all.

For the past few weeks I keep getting messages from some place called CRS, they say they work for JC international acquisition and that I owe almost £80. I've never come across this company before and definitely haven't bought anything from them. They're trying to get me to agree to a payment plan for some debt that I dont even have. Got a call from this number; the bloke said his name was Thomas and said he was using dating apps to get in touch. He said he couldn't meet up for around two months and wasn’t up for video calls either, which seemed dodgy. At first, he said he was from Lyon, but then mentioned some spot about five hours away in the South West of France, which didn’t add up. Bit fishy if you ask me! If someone can’t video chat or meet for that long, I’d steer clear - sounds like a scam. Just be careful and don’t get caught out!

Keeps sending me texts about some overdue bill with 3 exclamation marks, like literally nonstop. I reckon it’s a scam. Even after blocking the number, they somehow still manage to send messages through. Definitely don’t press any links they send - these people are really pushy and could mess you up if they get your details.

I keep getting messages saying I owe £273.59 to PFP Energy Ltd with a text like “[#][#]mycrs[###]/l/GyS0 You haven’t paid yet. Please sort it out by texting 07520633793. Ref PFPBB0002.” Thing is, I’ve never been a customer of theirs. Actually, I switched to a pre-payment meter years ago just to avoid the hassle of billing errors. Feels like they must’ve gotten my number from some database, probably because I use it when shopping online and stuff.

I got a message from CRS, who are really pushy when it comes to chasing debts, asking me to pay an invoice for Ingenious Legal. Now, Ingenious are a company that deals with PPI claims. I didn’t want to engage with CRS at all, so I called Ingenious myself and told them I was going to make an official complaint about how they were handling things. Oddly enough, everything got sorted out within a few minutes!

Got a message from some company claiming I owe money for PPI on a bank account I've never even owned. They keep sending texts about debt collectors from something called mycrs and say I owe Ingenious - honestly no idea who that lot are. Then they follow up asking if the PPI's been settled and tell me to text that same number. They also want me to log into some partner website [#]mycrs[###]/1/eGV2mT or ring 01618541542. Feels a bit dodgy to me!
