Since mid June, Chad swartzbeck [email protected][###] has been tricking folks using the same PayPal. Strange that PayPal hasn’t shut it down yet, I actually reported it back on 5th July.

Just got a message from someone claiming they’ll cover the cost of some pricey equipment using PayPal. I can’t help but wonder what their actual name and address might be. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Like a bunch of others have mentioned, the caller called himself ‘Chad’ and claimed he’d pay for an item I had listed on Gumtree using PayPal - even though I’d made it clear it was pick up only! He sent me what looked like a PayPal confirmation email saying the money was all sorted. It all felt a bit off, especially since he was way too eager to use PayPal and even offered extra for postage. Really glad sites like this exist to help check if stuff’s legit or not!

Got caught up in a scam on Gumtree. The person emailed me from an address that looked dodgy ([email protected][###]) which definitely wasn’t a legit PayPal domain. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police.

Got a call from some bloke who said he wanted to buy a jewellery item I’d put up for sale. He asked for my PayPal details, but as soon as he said his name was Chad, I thought that was a bit fishy. I looked up the number online and came across loads of warnings from other people. Glad I didn’t fall for it! Honestly, why can’t they just earn an honest living instead of trying this rubbish?

I just got hit with something very similar. They were selling a pricey watch and insisted on paying through paypal, even saying they’d cover extra postage costs. The address they provided was Flat 27, Runnymede House, Homerton Road, London E9 5PR. After that, I received a follow-up call from a different number, 07520 620301, but the address stayed the same.

Got a message from someone on Gumtree who said they wanted to buy my electronics.
