I recently got a text from this number expressing a desire to purchase a car from me. They seemed keen and were ready to fork out the agreed sum of £1650. However, when it came to settling the payment, I received an email claiming to be from their "bank," stating that they had the funds ready to be transferred into my account. This message also included a rather peculiar instruction that I should send money to cover transport costs-£300-before they would release the full amount of £1950 into my bank. To put it plainly: it’s clearly a scam.
