Got a voicemail from someone pretending to be BT, saying my phone was hacked. Totally a scam, obviously. It's annoying because these calls could really scare elderly folks who might not know any better. Why is there no way to stop this nonsense?

Got a dodgy call pretending to be from BT saying there’s an issue with my internet. First, I got a couple of robotic messages, then a woman answered. When I started asking her stuff she wasn’t expecting, she suddenly freaked out and cut the call. I tried ringing back, but a recorded notice said it wasn’t a normal UK number and there could be extra fees, so I didn’t bother calling again.

Got a call from this number earlier today, but they just hung up right away once the answerphone kicked in. Decided to block it now.

Got a voicemail from some scammer claiming my internet was hacked. They told me to leave the line open so I could speak to someone who could fix it. When the call got passed to a person, they just kept saying "hello" a handful of times then suddenly hung up. Really wish I could turn the tables on these con artists and make them hand over the cash they've swindled, but I guess we can only hope for now.

Someone called claiming to be a BT supervisor and said they had to get into my computer. Bit suspicious, especially when they asked for £9000.

This felt like a dodgy scam, I was shocked they already knew my first name. Definitely some shady internet activity going on here, felt really illegal.
