Warning scam alert! I got a text asking if I’d tried buying something pricey from Argos, then got a call wanting the reference number from the message. They then said they needed to create a new account for me. Barclays would never contact you on a mobile like that! Be careful out there.

This number's a total scam. First, they text you pretending to be Barclays, and if you don't reply, they hit you up again a few days later with the same message. If you do answer, they ring you back and try to pull their scam on you. Avoid it!
