I got a call from someone pushing advertising in a magazine that apparently only you ever receive a copy of! Sounds like one of those classic scams. Best thing to do? Just put the phone down and ignore it.

Got a call from some guy with a Scouse accent claiming to work for the education board, trying to push some magazines and wanting a courier to sort it out. He was really thick-skinned about it, kept going and going. Just a heads up, best just drop the call straight away.

Someone rang claiming to be from a nearby education board, looking for a window cleaner for a school and asking about our advertising. When I told them my husband handles that sort of thing, they just ended the call.
