I got a call from this number saying HM Revenue and Customs were suing me for unpaid tax, even though I’m on income support and care for someone. The caller used a robotic voice and said I'd be taken to a magistrates court. HMRC definitely wouldn’t call like that, especially using a robotic message. HMRC also said this sort of thing is usually a phishing scam.
