A guy with an Asian accent called me, claiming to be from some finance company and talking about debts. I told him straight up I don’t chat with folks who just ring me out of the blue. He seemed to get a bit annoyed, so I just said goodbye and put the phone down. Sounded like some call centre, but oddly it was from a regular mobile number. Nope, not falling for that!

Got a call from an Asian bloke trying to fish out personal info, my husband picked up right away but as soon as he heard the guy’s voice, he asked for me by name, then the caller just hung up. I’ve blocked that number now, 100% a scam, just trying to get your details!!!

Got loads of calls from people with Asian accents about citizens advice and clearing debts. They were really rude, kept asking for Mr and my last name, but I got confused as I’m not married. When I asked who they were, they just hung up on me. Proper impolite, and when I asked them to take my number off their list, they refused.

Got a call from them yesterday, but they cut off right after saying they were from "Citizens Advice" (not the Bureau, interestingly). What’s the point in calling if you’re just gonna hang up? Sounded like an Asian lady on the line, probably a call centre with all the background noise. Best to just ignore it, looks like a total scam that’ll bleed you dry for debt help and then deliver nothing.

Got a call from this number early today but couldn’t answer cause I was dropping the kids off at school. They called back later on saying they were from Citizens Advice and that I owe some money. I told them, “Debts? Me? Not sure about that!” And guess what? They just hung up on me!

Got a ring from this number earlier, some lady with an Asian accent called Veronica claiming to be from some credit checking place or whatever. She was going on about me owing money and minimum payments. When I told her she was talking rubbish, she just hung up. Better be careful and block it, definitely don’t share any details with them.

Got a call from 07516 537332 at around 9:33 this morning, but they didn't leave any message. Had a similar ring on Friday 10th of Feb from +44 7879 285174. When I searched both numbers, they showed the same info. The callers spoke with a strange foreign accent, saying they were from Citizens Advice or some credit agency and were surprisingly aware of the person's private info.

Some lady claimed to be from the citizens advice office in Manchester but wouldn’t say which building, definitely seemed fake. She told me I had like £5000 in unsecured debt I couldn’t pay, which isn’t true at all. I’d tell everyone to block that number, pretty sure it’s just a scam.

They claimed to be from the credit info helpline about my unpaid debts, but I ended up hanging up straight away. Honestly, I was a bit worried at first, not sure what was going on, then I just ended the call. These scumbags prey on folks who might be too frightened to tell them to shove off, it’s really wrong and something really needs to be done about it. :(:(

I had the exact same thing happen. This bloke called, said his name was James from some credit investigation agency. Told me he’d got my credit info and was looking into it. I just hung up straight away and blocked the number! Every blocked call I’ve had from recently is from this exact company! Honestly, I’m so over it now. Got a call this evening. Picked up since my phone hasn't been recognising numbers properly recently. A woman asked for me by name and said she was from 'Credit Advice'. When I asked why she was calling, she hung up straight away. Makes me think it was some kind of scam, so I’m calling it dodgy. Blocked the number now.

If you get a call from a number you don’t know, just block it straight away. Then look it up on this website. If nothing comes up, try searching it on Google. Sometimes if it belongs to a place like a hospital, it’ll show there. Never call back these scam numbers and let them charge you loads. Don’t answer, just hang up, block, and check.

This cheeky person claimed to be from Citizens Advice about some unpaid unsecured loans I supposedly had, which I quickly told him wasn’t true, and weirdly he hung up straight away. So if you’ve got any debts that aren’t actually owed and want them to just vanish, maybe take the call. I ended mine feeling pretty frustrated. I’m thinking about reporting this number to the police because anyone with genuine debts might feel scared or pressured by this nasty lot who’re just trying to prey on people’s worries - and that’s me being polite. Grrr.

Just got a call from this number. A woman said she was "Sarah from citizens advice”, sounded really cheerful and nice. I asked her to be quick since I was at work, and she just said "ok" and hung up. I've blocked the number now, but it won’t help much - they just switch to a new one and ring again.
