I got a call from a lady with quite a strong accent, seemed to be Asian. Oddly enough, she had all my info, like my name and where I live. I couldn't really catch what she was saying properly, but it sounded like she wanted to give me some kind of free health magazine. I said no thanks. She didn’t try to get any of my bank info or anything.

As soon as I answered, the call was cut off. My guess is they're testing to see which numbers from a dated list are still in use. Later, these live numbers probably get sold to others who then use them to advertise their products or services.
