Just got a message telling me my DPD parcel was cancelled, but I haven’t actually bought anything lately. Bit strange!

This old scam is still catching people out. Whenever you get these dodgy calls trying to scam you, make sure you report them straight to the police through their official system that tracks these fraud attempts. Don’t mix it up with reporting if you actually got scammed, as that needs a separate crime report. Just search for Action Fraud on Google, then head to the police.uk website and look for their phishing report page. Have a read through the intro, then scroll down to begin reporting. Mostly it’s just ticking boxes, but you can add extra info and links in the comments section too.

Got a text from this number pretending to be DPD saying they couldn’t deliver a parcel cos there’s some issue, and they included a link to follow. Since I wasn’t expecting any package, I didn’t bother clicking the link and figured it was just some scam.
