Got a robocall out of the blue, one of those typical scam calls pushing urgency. A woman with a British accent claimed to be from the ‘bank’s security team’ - mind you, they never actually said which bank. The scam story was about two dodgy payments on my card this morning: one for £199 supposedly to ‘Amazon’ and another for £899 to ‘Zoom’. They told me to press 1 to confirm the charges or 2 to chat with ‘security’. Total scam, no genuine transactions. Just hang up, don’t engage, and block the number.

Someone called claiming to be from my bank, telling me there were payments made to Amazon that I didn’t authorise. Definitely a scam! I’ve gotten this sort of call before.
