I got a text saying I’d been near someone with Covid and it had a link to order a PCR test. Seemed a bit dodgy to me, felt like a scam trying to get me to click it. Didn’t end up ordering anything.

Got a call from someone saying I’d sent £600 through Western Union from my bank. They left a voicemail saying the payment went through, then when I answered, an Asian lady started talking. As soon as I questioned her, she just ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

Got a text on my phone from a number starting +44751 which instantly felt off cos usually legit msgs from UK numbers don’t flash the +44 like that. It claimed a parcel hadn’t been delivered but didn’t say when or anything. The message pushed me to click a dodgy link to reschedule and stop it getting sent back. The link looked like dpd-co.uk-re7.com/rebook/dpd which I knew was phishing because dpd’s real website never has any hyphens, it’s just dpd.co.uk. Plus they were trying to charge £1.99 to redeliver which is a total scam, gave it a miss straight away.

Yep, it’s definitely one of those dodgy DPD scams. If you press the link, it leads to a rubbish fake website asking for your card info to supposedly pay a £1.99 delivery charge. Please, don’t put your details in, it’s a trap. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!

I looked up the tracking number - 88399378299 - on the DPD site (didn't use my phone for it) and it wasn’t valid at all! This feels like it might be linked to some bigger Zuckerberg or Facebook scam I’ve been digging into. They’re trying to get you to send £60 for a generator they claim is worth over £2000, and then say shipping from America is only £3.99! Sounds too crazy, like it’d barely fit on a single pallet. Honestly, I wish I could find a courier who’d actually handle that. I was willing to lose the £60 just to see exactly how the scam runs and mess around a bit on Facebook and PayPal.
