I’m a therapist and got a call from this number around 10:30pm yesterday. Didn’t pick up, then looked it up since I’ve been getting loads of dodgy calls recently. After reading the reviews here, I’ll definitely be blocking it.

So, I noticed a missed call from this number on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30. When I tried ringing back, nobody picked up. I gave it another go the following day and a bloke finally answered. I asked who he was, but he just hung up on me. Curious, I looked up the number online and saw loads of comments saying the same kind of thing about him. I reckon he found my number somewhere online since I’m a counsellor. Seems like he’s been ringing loads of people with similar stories.

This number rang me a few times, saying they needed help with mental health stuff. Thing that set me off was the timing - it was about 9pm on a Sunday! He wanted to do a video call right then and there. I told him I wasn’t working outside office hours but could sort a call during normal hours. Then he started asking odd personal questions, and his attitude got really weird. When I tried to steer the chat back to him, he just ended the call.

This number has rung me a couple of times really late in the evening - I never picked up, just looked it up online. After reading the feedback, it became clear why they only call so late; it’s always seemed a bit dodgy to me. It’s quite upsetting that as mental health workers, we get these prank calls, especially with creepy sexual content. I can’t help but feel sorry for the bloke wasting his time harassing professional women like this.

I only answered because the phone rang twice. On the other end was a guy named Nathan who wanted to chat about mental health, mainly anxiety. He asked if we could talk and wanted to hear about my own experiences. The whole thing felt pretty weird, so I asked where he got my number from. He said he found it on some mental health websites but couldn’t say which ones exactly. When I tried to direct him to proper resources, he suddenly just hung up on me. Really strange, so I’ve blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a lad looking for mental health support, must’ve thought this was a helpline or summat. He said he was from south east London and felt a bit low. At first I felt sorry for him, told him I wasn’t a helpline but I’d listen anyway. Then he said he’d never, like, done the deed or even touched himself and he was 26! That’s when I clocked he was taking the mick. Told him if he wanted proper help, he should go see his GP. Fair play to the poor sod who actually works in support and has to deal with muppets like this wasting their time.
