I picked up the phone but they ended the call straight away.

Got a recorded voice saying my Visa card was charged twice and I should press a button to stop the transactions.

Blocking these calls ain't much use. Most of these scammers are abroad and they just ring you again with a load of random fake numbers made by computers. Best thing is to report it to the police and let them handle it. Search for 'action fraud' on Google and head to the UK police website. Then find the phishing report section, scroll to the end, and fill out the quick form there.

I had no clue what they were on about. They kept saying something about an arrest warrant for fraud or something, pretending to be from HMRC. Didn't sound right at all. So yeah, I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a text saying my Visa had some auto fraud or something. I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from GOVUK saying I qualify for a discount on my energy bill because of the Energy Bills Support Scheme. Sounds legit but kinda caught me off guard!

They spoke with a sort of Chinese accent, trying to say something like "we're going for a walk," but it came out totally jumbled.
