I’ve reported this scam to https://ico.org.uk but doubt anything will change. These scammers just keep grabbing tons of free sim cards from registered places and use them to ring people nonstop. Once they hook someone who unfortunately hands over their bank info, they just bin the sim and move onto the next one. Absolute scumbags.

At 2.47 pm on the 24th of September, I got a complete silence then a woman with a British accent started speaking, pushing that dodgy government replacement window offer again. My BT Call Protect blocked it straight away, so it never connected. I reckon it might be an overseas call since it’s probably on BT’s blacklist. Lately, I’ve noticed loads of these O2 Mobile numbers, which can be transferred too, getting used in similar scams.
