Got a text earlier from a dodgy number saying something like "I've been really stressed today Mum. Please message me back on 07510884784." Definitely not from my daughter though. This is at least the fifth or sixth time I've had calls or messages like this from different numbers. When I reply with "who is this?", I never get any answer.

Got a voicemail where someone called me Dad and sounded really worried, asking me to ring them back. Didn’t hang about, just blocked the number right away.

Got a call from someone acting like my kid, saying they were really stressed and needed me to ring back quick. Best just to not bother, it's not genuine.

Got a txt from a number claiming to be my kid, saying I needed to reply straight away. Turns out loads of others - 96 so far - have checked out the same phone number. Blimey, they must get pestered constantly. :(

Got a text from 07908679799 saying I should ring a different number because it was supposedly from my ‘kid’ who’s been really stressed lately. Doesn’t feel right at all, pretty certain it’s a scam!

Please text me back on 07510 884784.” Tried calling them from my landline but it just went straight to voicemail and there was no caller ID. Feels dodgy to me, probably some kind of scam. So I’ve just blocked the number.
