I've received messages from two distinct numbers: 07510819551 (O2) and 07917678884 (Vodafone). Both have been sending me calls with withheld numbers that playback the same recorded message. Does anyone know how we can put an end to this nuisance?

The government has rolled out a new Debt Settlement Order, which allows individuals facing financial difficulties to petition for their debts to be erased. If you're keen to learn more, just send a text with ‘OK’ to get started.

I just received the exact same message a mere ten minutes ago-so annoying!

TEXT MESSAGE: "The government has rolled out a Debt Settlement Order, allowing individuals grappling with financial difficulties to seek cancellation of their debts. To proceed, send a text saying OK; to opt out, simply reply STOP." +447510819551. 4th February 2011, 13:04. Received via SMS. We are not in debt. This message is identical to the one previously mentioned by Mr CS. Please do not respond to this text. As soon as we called this number, it redirected us to an O2 voicemail.

I received a text saying: "FREEMSG: Our records suggest you could be due £3750 for your accident. To claim at no cost, simply reply with YES. To unsubscribe, text STOP." (Received on 4th Feb 2011 at 10:54 from +447510819551). Honestly, what a scam! I've never had any accident, and it seems like these dodgy numbers keep changing - could even be coming from Indonesia. If you search for the phrase "Our records suggest you could be due £3750," you'll find a slew of identical messages. There's no company name mentioned either, so absolutely don’t respond!

I've just received a rather dodgy text that reads: "FREEMSG: our records suggest you could be in line for £3750 regarding an accident. If you wish to claim at no cost, simply respond with YES. To unsubscribe, text STOP." The message was sent on 4th February 2011 at 10:54 from +447510819551. Honestly, this is a total scam as I've unfortunately never had any accident whatsoever. It appears that the phone numbers associated with this scam change regularly, possibly originating from Indonesia. If you search for "Our records suggest you could be entitled to £3750," you'll find a slew of similar messages popping up. Curiously, they don't even bother to provide a company name. My advice? Steer clear and don't engage!
