Is there any way to find out who this is and stop the calls? Really hope something can be done about it. Fingers crossed!

Earlier today, I got a call from a man who spoke with a strong Indian accent and quite patchy English. He said he was from Scottish Equitable and wanted to go over my life insurance due to some new Covid rules. When I asked him what age my current policy ran out, he guessed wrong but kept pushing anyway. In the end, I had to hang up halfway through because it was just too much. These calls have been coming nearly every day - about 4 times today alone and a couple yesterday. I've already told them to stop calling me again.

This number has been ringing me a bunch lately. The person on the other end has really bad English and keeps saying my life insurance needs renewing today because of COVID 19. They ask for my personal info to "confirm" I'm the right person, which smells like a total scam to me. Once I told 'em I wasn’t sharing any details, they sounded proper annoyed. Got a call today from a bloke named “Jason” who claimed he was from LV. This wasn’t the first time I’d had a call from him, so I went straight to LV to check. They told me they never call customers out of the blue, so I knew it had to be a scam. When I told Jason this, he just cut me off and hung up sharpish. Definitely a scam call.

Had a call today from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to represent Royal London, saying he needed to go over my life insurance. He asked loads of questions, but once he started probing for my bank details, I just ended the call. Bit worried coz he knew stuff like my policy payments, full name, address, and even my mobile number (which I only share with a handful of people). I rang up Royal London myself and they said they hadn’t rung me at all, so looks like a proper scam.

I got called again today, like for the millionth time, so I decided to pick up. The person said they were with the Legal and General review team and said Covid meant I had to check my policy or something. I told them straight up I thought it was a scam and that I'd just get in touch with L and G myself. After that, neither of us said anything else, and the chat ended pretty quick.

Just got a call from some bloke claiming to be from AIG about updating my life insurance, about ten minutes back. Don’t pick up if you’re called by someone like that - it’s a total scam. I figured it out because he kept throwing questions at me like "how much do you pay?" and "what's your coverage amount?" - if he was genuine, he’d already have those details. Then, when I asked him about my dad’s policy, he had no clue. Proper scammer, avoid them!

Got a call from 07510 806720, a bloke pretending to be from HSBC. He was spinning some right fibs. When I asked for his manager’s info, he said it was Thomas Parker, the Chief Manager of HSBC. I told him how impressed I was that someone so important was taking my scam call seriously. He got quite rude and just hung up on me. Apparently, he was trying to cancel some life insurance policy I supposedly had, which I definitely don’t. He made up some policy numbers but couldn’t even say them properly when I asked again.

This number rang me twice last week about my wife's HSBC insurance. When I said I wasn't involved in her insurance matters, the caller then started asking if I had cover myself and wanted loads of details. I told him to jog on pretty quickly. Afterwards, I got in touch with HSBC who confirmed they don’t ever call using blocked numbers.

Got a call from some unknown number claiming to be about the COVID jab, they asked me who my life insurance was with. I gave them an old provider's name just to be safe. Next thing I know, another call comes from a different number, supposedly from that old insurer, saying I need to pay extra because of COVID. Definitely a total scam, watch out and don't get caught in it!

This defo looks like a scam. A while back I pretended to be interested and gave fake info to someone claiming to be from the NHS. They wanted to check my life insurance details. Now, I’m getting calls from some insurance firm I’ve never signed up with, telling me I need to update my policy. Had to reject a couple of these calls already. Definitely not legit!
