I received a message purporting to be from HMRC, claiming I was entitled to a tax refund and directing me to click a link. It's worth noting that HMRC would never reach out via text, especially not from a mobile number. I've gone ahead and deleted the message. This isn't the first time I've encountered this type of scam, though I can't recall the other numbers that have contacted me previously.

Sounds like a scam to me, they try and get you to a site that pretends to be gov.uk, but it’s really govuk-hmrc-refund-form[###]. Really disappointed that the [###] officials let a dodgy domain like that go through (didnt click on the link myself, just too risky!).

Total con! I sent it straight over to 60599, that’s the gov.uk spot for phishing reports. Anyone else seeing this should definitely report it too!
