On the 27th January 2021 I got a message about a tax rebate, but when I searched the number on google it came up as a scam. I then sent the text on to HMRC's fraud number at 60599.

Got a message from 07508370748 saying I was due a tax refund. The message had a link that looked like a gov site, so I filled in my info - bit daft of me, I know. Luckily, I contacted my bank and updated my details straight away. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Got a text today around 5.15pm from someone saying they're from HMRC about a tax rebate from 27/01/21. It asked me to ring a number and click a link to "calculate your claim" with some dodgy looking gov.uk link. Seemed really fishy, so I just deleted it straight away. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Just got a message supposedly from HMRC about some tax refund that’s waiting for me, with a link to supposedly check it out. Honestly, if this isn’t some kind of scam, I reckon I’d get an official letter in the post instead of a text. Seems dodgy to me!
