I got a call on my phone saying I was involved in tax fraud. Obviously, it was a scam. I looked it up online and found info from HMRC warning about this. Apparently, scammers are pretending to be from HMRC saying they're suing you and asking you to press 1 to talk to someone and pay up. The official advice is to just hang up straight away. This scam’s been going on for ages and mainly tries to trick older or vulnerable folks.
