Got a text saying HSBC sent an alert about a new payee named MR C Jones being added to my account. Said if I didn’t make the request, I should check out this link hs-security (with a link). I’m not even a HSBC customer, so it was clear to me that clicking the link would probably try to get my personal info like my account number and sort code to “fix” the problem! Total scam alert if you ask me.
