I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent who claimed she worked for BT. She said she was aware of phone issues in my area and even mentioned my full name and postcode. Thing is, I’m not a BT customer, and my phone’s been fine. It really sounded like she was just reading from a script, promising to fix the problems. I quickly realised it was dodgy, told her she was trying to scam me, and then I hung up.
