I got a call on my work phone from someone pretending to be with BT Openreach, warning me about some dodgy activity on my IP. Thing is, BT Openreach never contacts customers directly. When I called them out on it being a scam, the bloke got really narky and started going on about how it was alright for him to try and con people in the UK because of how India was treated back in the empire days - something about reparations or whatever. I just muted the phone and let him go on for a good 5 minutes before he finally gave up and hung up.
