I got a call supposedly from the “security team at my bank” saying there were two transactions over £1,000 on my card that looked fishy. They told me to press one to “confirm” or raise a question about them. Seriously? What bank? What card? I don’t even have a card with them!

Someone pretending to be from Amazon called me. They left a message on my answerphone about weird card transactions - £100 in the UK and £899 from overseas - and told me to press 1 if it wasn’t me. I didn’t do anything except report it to Amazon and blocked the number straight away. Sounded very dodgy to me.
