Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me with prison and said a letter would follow. I’m a family carer and don’t have a job at the moment, so it sounded dodgy. They told me to press 1 to talk to an officer, but when I tried calling back the number had already been switched off. I just hung up - I don’t owe anything and haven’t done anything wrong.
