This morning I woke up to a text telling me my son's phone was missing and he was using a mate's. The message asked me to call 07506414089 to chat with him. It nearly caught me out, but the message came through at about 3.30 am, and there's no chance my son would be phoning me at that hour. I looked up the number, and it seems to be a scam.

Got a text from this number claiming to be my daughter, said she’d smashed her phone screen and needed me to pay a bill of £380 by midnight. They insisted on a bank transfer and promised to pay me back the next day. I decided to look into it and found out it was a total scam. Just a heads up to anyone who might get something similar!
