The caller ID showed a UK mobile, but I could hear loads of other voices in the background like they were handling loads of calls at once. A bloke named “Alex,” speaking with a strong Indian accent, claimed he was ringing from Amazon about an Apple order worth over £500. He asked if I wanted to go ahead with it. I told him straight away I don’t even have an Amazon account and asked what phone number was linked to the purchase. He said it ended in “256.” So I asked why they were bothering me when my number was nothing like that. He just hung up. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it!
