Havent got a call but after reading the earlier details about the persons name, I came across a review on Friday ads where someone was warning about a possible scam job offer tied to a crystal company. The name linked to it was Elzerbeth Walkerling or maybe Elzbieta. I didnt see any phone number listed, so I reckon they want you to email them first and give your contact info. From what I can tell, this same job is being advertised in Crawley, Eastbourne and Hastings too.

I saw the same name and story pop up in the Brighton Friday ads on 16th June 2020. I got emails back from someone called Elzerbeth Wakeling. Luckily, thanks to this site, I didn’t end up giving any cash and managed to get the advert taken down.

TOTAL RIPOFF!!! Elzbieta Wakeling is a PROPERTY CON ARTIST! Pretending to be Hayley, she answered my ad on GUMTREE, claiming to be the landlady. Wants a deposit and all that. Can’t even get her own name right twice! Elzibeth Walkering or something like that.

Glad I saw this post! I put up an ad on Gumtree looking for a flat for me, my partner, and our two little kids. Someone messaged me from 07451204428 and I gave her my email to get pictures and details. She sent some nice photos of a place. But then I looked her name up since we have got scammed in the past, and this showed up, so happy I checked. Thanks to everyone for sharing!

Definitely a scam! Got a message from a woman called Elzbeita Wakeling with pictures of a flat for £500 a month plus a £500 deposit, covering bills and council tax. It sounded dodgy from the start, like a deal that’s too good to be true. Did a quick search and my gut feeling was spot on. Blocked her straight away.

[email protected][###] There was an attempt at fraud back in April. The bank info provided goes like this: "Hello, Thanks for your quick reply and for understanding. Here’s my bank info; Bank: Yorkshire Bank Account Holder: Ann Marie Account Number: 48047969 Sort Code: 05-02-11 Please send me the transfer confirmation receipt via email so i can inform my solicitor for verification purposes. Lol, this person must be mental thinking anyone would actually fall for this. I put up an ad today searching for a 3-bed flat in North London, and straight away I get a text from 07451238353? Calling themselves "Anne Marie" asking for my email. When I sent it, they replied with all the info plus some really dodgy photos supposedly from "9 days ago." Since the pictures looked all over the place, I googled the email address [email protected][###] and came across this forum. People like this are disgusting, but karma has a way of sorting them out.

Stay well clear of this one. Someone claiming to be 'Ann Marie' replied to my Gumtree ad about renting a place. She asked for a £500 deposit upfront before I could even see the house and was pushing me hard to pay straight away. Don’t be fooled by it. I've already reported it to the police through Action Fraud.

This was a scam, someone pretending to be Ann Marie with a lovely home in Llandudno. They even sent pictures to back it up. The email they used was [email protected][###]. They only asked for my name and address at first, but I found out they’ve asked others for money before showing the property. Really steer clear of this one. She sent me a photo of a nice flat for £500 a month, and so far she hasn’t asked for a deposit. I just googled her name and found this thread. Cheers for the heads up, everyone!

+44 7520 636933 Got a call from that number with pretty much the same con. They sent pics of a stunning flat in Forest Hill and said the current tenant backed out last minute. Then they asked me to pay £700 as a holding deposit, promising it would be refunded if I didn’t go through with the rent. Something about it didn’t sit right, so I gave it a miss. Watch out for these dodgy scams!

I've dealt with this awful person just recently. She put up an ad for a 2 bedroom place for me and my daughter. She sent over pictures of a lovely house, seemed like a dream for us, then asked for £500 before we could even see it. That instantly made me suspicious and I told her no way am I paying without seeing the place first. Then she tried to reassure me by sending an ID and proof of ownership, which she actually did, including the house number. So I went to the address and found out the house doesn't exist at all! What a scam! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ELZBIETA WAKELING!!

Thank goodness I decided to check this email address ([email protected][###]), she was trying to rent me a flat in London and asked for £500 upfront before any viewing. I honestly felt a bit daft, but these reviews really saved me. I also ran the photos she sent through Google Image search and the place was nowhere near where she said it was. Definitely avoid!

So some1 named Elzbieta messaged me on Gumtree after I replied to an ad, sent me 6 photos and wanted me to pay £900 upfront then £400 every month after. Said she’d send keys and tenancy agreement once paid the £900. Sounds dodgy so I’m about to call the cops.

I also got that email. She contacted me after I posted an advert on Gumtree, looking for a private let in Kilwinning, where I live. I checked the address she gave, and it turned out to be a flat listed on a letting agency's site, but she claimed it was a house. Luckily, I did my research and didn’t lose any cash. I’m based in Ayrshire, Scotland, and apparently she’s been scamming folks over in New York too.

I was chatting with her earlier about viewing the place tomorrow at 5pm. The address is 32 Lenelby Road, Surbiton, but the photos of the interiors didn’t seem to match what the house actually looked like (the windows were different). Her name’s Elzbieta Maria Wakeling. She asked me to pay before seeing the place - be careful with her, she could try to scam you for your cash! The photos don’t show the real house at all!

The email she gave is [email protected][###], and she goes by E. M. Wakeling. So far, she’s only told me about the terms, which sound almost too good to be legit. We got a call from a woman after we posted an ad on Gumtree searching for a place to rent. She said she was relocating to Cardiff to join relatives and after exchanging quite a few emails to set up a viewing, she finally gave a date and time but insisted we send her a £500 deposit before seeing the property. Fortunately, we had already looked her up online and thanks to all the reviews on this site, we managed to dodge the scam! The address was Sancombe Drive in Glenfield, Leicester. She told me it was a 2 bedroom property, which matched what I was after in my advert, but when I checked Zoopla it said it’s actually got 3 bedrooms. That’s when I started getting suspicious!
