I didn’t pick up since it was a number I didn’t recognise. After reading other comments, it’s clear it’s just another spam or nuisance call! I should mention I then got two more calls within 10 minutes from 0161 2127471 and 0151 375 9746. After checking online, both are reported as scam or harassing calls too. I’m almost certain it’s the same lot behind all of these. BLOCKED all three numbers AGAIN today! This is seriously getting out of hand, the government really needs to step in.

They kept saying it was a BT line, but it sounded kinda foreign to me. Even after I told them it's a UK mobile, they wouldn't believe it and kept asking why I wouldn’t chat with them!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from CAB. I asked where their office was and the address they gave didn’t match any of the official CAB locations. They mentioned they wanted to talk about an IVA, which I’ve checked out before, but I can’t see why CAB would ring about it. I was polite and jotted down their info to check out later, but after looking into it, nothing adds up. Feels a bit fishy to me!

Got a call at about 09:45 on 18 Feb 2017. I said 'hello', but no reply. Then I asked 'who's this please?' A man with an Asian accent answered, saying he was 'Scott from the Credit Investigations Dept', but didn't mention any firm or organisation. I wasn’t falling for it, so I told him 'sorry, I don’t discuss personal stuff with strangers'. Then 'Scott' raised his voice asking 'who is this?' I told him firmly 'don’t call me again and remove my number from your list' before I hung up. I’m keen to know how to block this caller as it smells like a scam.

Got a proper rude bloke from India ringing me, asking for my partner by name on my mobile. Only place that has her name linked to my number is TalkTalk, so makes you suspicious. He said he was from Citizens Advice, but when I asked where he got my number, he got all cheeky asking who I was. Told him I'm her partner, and he just goes "I don’t believe you" then slammed the phone down. These muppets really need to stop wasting our time, seriously.

I told this person I was in bed because I’d just found out I have cancer, but he didn’t care and was still really rude. I went along with the call anyway and he said my debtors had contacted him about settling my debts before going to court. I said I just have a credit card that’s still active, and he hung up straight away. This caller is just after money and couldn’t care less about my health. People like this are the worst, and honestly, they deserve every bad thing that happens to them!

Caller kicked off by using my name and asking how I was - classic red flag right there. Then he claimed he was from Citizens Advice - yeah, sure mate, like I’m falling for that.
