Today at about 9.44am I got a call from this number and some bloke with an Eastern accent said he was with BT or Open Reach, saying there was an issue with my internet. I seriously doubt BT would ring from a mobile number like that. When I called him out on it being a scam, he tried to convince me he wasn’t by saying his grandma was born in the USA - which made no sense to me. I ended up keeping him on the phone for over four minutes just so he wouldn’t bother anyone else. Pretty obvious it was a scam.
