this number has rung me a few times now. they kept telling me I was owed a big lump sum for ppi refund. I played along and kept chatting for ages just to annoy them. eventually, they got really annoyed and actually asked if I was having a laugh. so funny!

I got a call about reclaiming PPI, something to do with Harrington’s advice. Not sure if it’s legit, but they sounded proper confident about helping with those claims. Anyone else had this?

This number left me a voicemail but I heard them speaking to someone else at the same time. It looked like our calls somehow got mixed up and I ended up recording their convo. The person sounded Asian and claimed to be from some government grants department, saying we both qualified or something. Total nonsense, I’m sure I’m not eligible. Plus, the other person on the call was saying she wasn’t entitled either, telling them it was pointless to carry on. What a load of rubbish!

Got a call saying I was owed some money back from a loan I supposedly got in 2005. They couldn’t give me any more details and then tried to hand me over to a ‘manager’. I just ended the call. Pure scammers.

Similar to what others have said, this bloke claimed to be from some life insurance company. He told me I’d taken out a £4,000 loan and was due a refund. Then he asked who I’d borrowed from - I told him I hadn’t taken any loan, and he said he already had all the info, so I pressed him to tell me. Suddenly, he said he couldn’t disclose it, and when I asked for his name, he just cut me off. The voice was exactly like the one that bugged me about some PPI issues a few weeks ago.

Some bloke from India was on the phone, trying to talk me into buying these payment tokens to get my PPI back - bit of a cheeky move if you ask me!

Got a really unpleasant call from an Indian guy who kept asking loads of questions. When I said he was trying to fish for info, he started swearing at me and called me an idiot. Ended up hanging up 'cause he just kept going off on one with the swearing.

Got a call from an Asian guy trying to sell me insurance, but honestly, I couldn’t really follow what he was saying. I ended up just telling him nicely to leave me alone.
