I’m honestly baffled by what just happened. Left my phone in my room and went for a shower, no way I touched it for over 20 minutes. When I got back, I noticed it had somehow been on a call with this number for about four minutes! That makes absolutely no sense since I wasn’t even near the phone to answer anything. Feeling really weird about it now. I messaged the number, apologising in case it was a pocket dial and asking who they were. They just replied with “prove it,” so I sent them a screenshot showing the call duration. Then, things got even stranger - they said it’s a “sensitive number” and started claiming they’re tracking me. They followed up with a message that looked official, saying my number’s now registered with the Home Office under some “national drug control system,” complete with links to Home Office sites and advice pages. I’m quite unsettled by all this. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
