He called asking for me using my full name but I didn't say yes and asked what it was about. Then he repeated my name and started going on about some debt. I told him to take my number off his list, but he kept saying my name and claimed I didn’t know why he was calling. I told him it was the wrong number and to stop calling. After that, he just hung up. He spoke with a strong Asian accent and said his name was Ryan. Honestly, I don't really trust him.

Got a call from some moron claiming I had a benefit waiting that I never applied for, asked for my info... nope, no way!! Complete scam!

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent earlier, trying to get me to do a quick survey that would only take a couple of minutes. I told him I wasn’t interested and asked him to put me on their no-call list, but he just ignored me and kept insisting it’d be quick. When I said no again and told him to remove my number, he just laughed and said he’d ring me back. Then he just hung up on me. Proper annoying!

These lot are complete SCAMMERS, really dangerous ones. They’ve been blowing up my phone every day for more than a month and just won’t quit. It’s obviously a con. Never ever hand over your personal info to them!

The same number tried calling me two days in a row. I didn’t answer the first time, but I did today. When I answered, it was dead silent on the other end. I tried calling back, but the call drops within a few seconds and I don’t think there was ever a ringtone. Pretty weird really.

Nearly everyone I've seen get calls from this number seems to share the same situation. I got a new phone not long ago, so there was no way anyone had my number saved. But I did submit my CV to several job platforms, which obviously included my contact info. It feels like either these companies are passing our details to other businesses or the job boards themselves have been compromised. Whatever's happening, it’s annoying getting these unwanted calls when you’re just trying to find work.

Since January 12th, I've been getting calls from six different numbers. They ring a few times and then just hang up. It's still happening now. The numbers include 07503 073252, 07776 024456, 07785 450745, 07502 073252 (which is only one digit off from the first one), 07757 041629, and 07902 834429. If anyone has any clue how to stop this madness, please share. To address some of the earlier comments: this isn't about job hunting - I'm a student and haven't used this number on any job sites for over 4 years.

I’m right there with you on the job hunt. The moment I sent off my CV and applied, I got a call straight away. Didn’t bother picking up though, cos there’s no way they’d be ringing that fast about a job. Told the job centre now that I’m not gonna pick up unless they send a text first, then I’ll call them back.

I’ve had calls from pretty much all those numbers too. When someone mentioned job websites, it kind of clicked with me because I’ve been sending out loads of applications on different job sites recently. It’s a bit annoying we can’t figure out exactly which site is the culprit.

Got two calls from this number today. Missed the first but picked up the second. The line was awful, full of noise, and the caller kept shouting, asking me to take part in a survey. Just yesterday I got half a dozen calls all from various numbers but each one said they were from the same marketing company. It was weird cause they kept messing up my name and yet they somehow knew where I live. How do these lot even get hold of that info? And more importantly, does anyone know how to make them stop ringing me for good?

Got three calls from different mobiles, all from separate numbers. I answered the first one, and they already had my name and where I live, said it was for a survey. I ended the call pretty quick. Tried to ring back but the number came up as invalid. The numbers were 07785 4507453, 07503 073252, and 07776 024456.

I got calls from the same three numbers today, 18th Jan 2017, all in the same sequence: 07776024456, 07785450745, and 07503073252. The first call I picked up, some guy speaking broken English asked for someone I don’t know. I told him he’d got the wrong number and put the phone down. Later on, I just let the other two ring out without answering. Feels like a phishing attempt to me.

I've had the same three phone numbers ringing me loads of times today, just like other folks have mentioned on sites like ‘who calls me’. I’m pretty sure our info has been nicked or hacked because I saw someone else say they had their CV online recently. Last December a recruitment company I dealt with actually emailed me to say sorry after hackers got into their system. It's so frustrating! I picked up a couple of the calls - one was a bloke and the other a woman, both speaking with thick Indian accents.
